The emphasis was made today in a paper delivered on the second day training of Gombe State L-PRES Project Implementation Unit Staff by the lead trainer of Four Icons Premium Limited, Mrs Aishat Onusi at Evolution Hotel Conference Hall Tunfure Gombe.

Mrs Aishat Onusi drew the attention of participants on the need for projects to properly identify and engage beneficiaries and stakeholders before embarking on any intervention stressing that, such an approach will go along way in building trust and collaboration for achievements projects goals and objectives.

She said most projects fail largely due to non inclusion of target beneficiaries and stakeholders in the decision making process during project design which she said was responsible for lack of sustainability of such interventions.

She therefore charged project staff to involve communities in need assessment and outline of priorities before embarking on such projects.

The second paper was presented by Sanni Momoh a Media Training Expert, he dwelt on “Success Stories Writing To Show Case Project Results”.

He explained that such stories are written to showcase impact and outcome of what the project has achieved over a measured period of time.

Mr Momoh said success stories most contain selected and specific interventions that have made great impact on the lives of people and communities that were targeted.

He said they should be written with compelling narrative and creativity to inspire Stakeholders and the general public to build credibility on the project and further attract more funding and support from development partners.

The highlight of the training included questions and questions as well as shorts assignments.
