…Honour Reflects Gombe’s Rising Profile in Education, Reform & Global Engagement

 

The Gombe State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project, under the leadership of the State Project Coordinator, Professor Usman Bello Abubakar, heartily congratulates His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, on the conferment of an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Lincoln University College, Malaysia.

 

The prestigious honour, bestowed during the University’s 18th Convocation Ceremony held on January 26, 2026, in Selangor, Malaysia, is a profound recognition of Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s visionary leadership, transformative governance reforms, and steadfast commitment to sustainable development through human capital advancement, institutional strengthening, and strategic global partnerships.

This well-deserved global recognition not only celebrates Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s personal accomplishments but also elevates the image of Gombe State on the international stage.

Of particular significance is the Governor’s role in facilitating the establishment of the Lincoln University Campus in Kumo, Gombe State, through a pioneering public-private partnership.

 

This landmark initiative, which has secured foundational accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC), stands as a testament to his administration’s resolve to expand access to world-class education, reduce brain drain, and empower Nigerian youth within their homeland.

 

Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s pledge to champion the success of this partnership, including sponsoring indigenous students from Gombe State, aligns strongly with the objectives of the L-PRES Project in building resilient livelihoods, strengthening productivity, and promoting sustainable development.

 

The Gombe L-PRES Project proudly identifies with His Excellency at this historic moment and reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Governor’s vision of a modern, inclusive, and globally competitive Gombe State, particularly through livestock transformation, agribusiness development, and human capital growth.
