Sheep and Goat Value Chain

Sheep and goat production is vital for rural livelihoods in Gombe State, particularly for smallholders. The value chain focuses on improving breeding practices, disease prevention, and feed resources to increase productivity. Climate-smart interventions, such as improved grazing management and manure utilization, are promoted to enhance sustainability. The project supports market development by facilitating access to slaughter facilities, encouraging cooperative groups, and linking farmers with buyers to improve income and reduce wastage.
