...Emir of Yamaltu Applauds Gov Inuwa's Livestock Transformation Drive<\/div><\/div>
As part of efforts to promote inclusive participation in development initiatives, the Gombe State Government, through the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support (L-PRES) Project, has engaged stakeholders in Nabawa community of Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Area as ahead of the establishment of a dairy production facility designed to boost livestock productivity and drive economic growth.<\/div><\/div>
Leading a high-powered delegation to the community, the State Project Coordinator, Professor Usman Bello Abubakar<\/a><\/span>, said the engagement was convened to ensure inclusive participation in the re-establishment of the boundaries of the proposed project site and to provide a platform for open dialogue with affected stakeholders.<\/div><\/div>
According to him, the initiative forms part of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's livestock transformation agenda being implemented through the L-PRES Project to enhance dairy production, create economic opportunities and strengthen the livestock value chain in Gombe State.<\/div><\/div>
Professor Abubakar explained that the planned dairy production facility and supporting infrastructure would serve not only the host community but the entire state and the nation at large through increased milk production, job creation and economic growth.<\/div><\/div>
\"When this development is established, the host communities will be the first beneficiaries. However, the project is not only for Nabawa, Jagali Ward or Yamaltu-Deba Local Government Area; it is a strategic investment whose benefits will extend across Gombe State and beyond,\" he stated.<\/div><\/div>
The Project Coordinator emphasized that the engagement reflected the commitment of the Gombe State Government to transparency, inclusiveness and community participation in project implementation.<\/div><\/div>
He urged community members to openly raise any concerns relating to the project, assuring them that the exercise was intended to foster mutual understanding and agreement on the project boundaries rather than dispossess anyone of land or means of livelihood.<\/div><\/div>
Professor Abubakar called on residents to support the initiative and maintain unity, noting that the successful implementation of the project would bring significant socio-economic benefits to the area, including employment opportunities for youths and increased commercial activities.<\/div><\/div>
He also stressed the importance of education, encouraging parents to enroll their children in school to enable them benefit from the technical and skilled employment opportunities expected to emerge from the project.<\/div><\/div>
Speaking during the engagement, the Emir of Yamaltu, His Highness Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu, commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for attracting the project to the area, describing it as a landmark intervention that would stimulate economic growth and improve livelihoods.<\/div><\/div>
The traditional ruler pledged the support of traditional institutions and community leaders towards the successful implementation of the project and urged residents to cooperate with government officials and project stakeholders.<\/div><\/div>
As part of the visit, the Project Coordinator, the Emir and other stakeholders conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the proposed project site, inspecting cattle routes and farmlands within the designated area for the dairy production facility.<\/div><\/div>
Professor Abubakar further disclosed that the ACReSAL Project would support environmental sustainability efforts through tree planting along the project boundaries to combat land degradation and enhance ecological conservation.<\/div><\/div>The proposed dairy production facility and supporting water infrastructure form part of the Gombe State Government's broader livestock transformation agenda aimed at boosting dairy production, processing and commercialization, creating employment opportunities and enhancing livelihoods while driving sustainable economic growth across the state.<\/span><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
